On February 7, 1996, I took my Barrister Oath. I have taken the oath to my heart and I am a criminal barrister.
I graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994 and completed my articling at the Ministry of the Attorney General. Prior to attending law school, I earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California in 1991, a M.A. in criminal justice from the State University of New York at Albany in 1990, a B.A. in sociology and criminal justice from the University of Washington in 1989.
Since the beginning of my career, I have practised exclusively criminal law. I am a trial lawyer and have gained extensive courtroom experience from conducting thousands of trials. My practice areas focus on criminal driving charges, sexually based offences and drug trafficking cases. At Aitken Robertson, I handle some of the more serious cases like criminal negligence causing death, gang sexual assault and child pornography. I also enjoy defending the impaired (by alcohol or drug) cases.
At my leisure time, I am an avid traveller and a scuba diver. As a volunteer, I have also officiated in numerous lifesaving championships across Canada and around the world.
