About Carlos
Carlos Leach is the Managing Partner and founder of the Leach Firm, P.A (founded in 2017). Prior to starting his own firm, Attorney Leach was the head of employment division at one of the nation’s largest plaintiff firms. Since 2006, Attorney Leach has been dedicated to helping employees, not only in Florida, but across the country, in a variety of cases involving unpaid overtime, minimum wages, tips, Family Medical Leave disputes, discrimination, whistleblower complaints, etc.
Attorney Leach has litigated hundreds of employment cases on behalf of employees and has been appointed lead class counsel in more than twenty (20) class actions. Mr. Leach has been successful in resolving several multi-million dollar class actions settlements.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Leach is a frequent lecturer on topics pertaining to wage and hour compliance. He has been featured on many news stations and newspaper articles.
Carlos was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Jackson, MS. He attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, where he received his B.S. in Economics. While attending Southern, Mr. Leach was a two-time All-American placekicker on the football team. Carlos received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans, LA. Following law school, Mr. Leach decided it was time for a change of scenery (and weather) and moved to sunny Orlando, Florida where he began his legal career defending employers and insurers in employment disputes. After two years of sharpening his craft from the defense prospective, Mr. Leach decided it was time to use his skills to fight for the people and not the powerful.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Leach devotes his time to assisting indigent citizens in matters where they have been wronged by their employer. Attorney Leach has been named “Orange County Pro Bono Champion” by Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida for consecutive years. He currently resides in Orlando with his wife and two kids.
