Cecilia was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court, Central District of California in 1996. She is an attorney in good standing to practice in all courts in the State of California.

Cecilia is a member of the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association. She is a recipient of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division's 2000 Child Advocacy National Certificate of Recognition for significant legal contributions advancing the welfare of our nation’s children. She has also been awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services for voluntary provision of legal services for the poor.
