About Chad
Chad Farrar has a litigation practice focused in the areas of insurance defense, nonsubscriber employer defense and commercial law. A large portion of his practice is devoted to assisting employers in connection with claims made by injured employees. Chad is well versed in the area of federal preemption as it relates to employee claims covered by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"). He offers assistance to his clients from the time a claim arises and through to trial when required.
In addition, Chad assists in contract negotiation and has handled negotiations and litigation relating to the complex area of covenants not to compete. He began his practice in the West Texas area where he gained valuable experience, both inside and outside the courtroom, representing both individual and commercial clients. He began practicing in Dallas in 1998 and has represented several large corporations in the Metroplex area and throughout the state.
Chad was born in Levelland, Texas in 1969. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Petroleum Land Management from Texas Tech University in 1992. In 1995, he earned his law degree, with honors, from Texas Tech University where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. Chad was licensed to practice law in November of 1995. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Texas as well as the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Texas. In addition to the State Bar of Texas.
