About Charles

Charles B. Pyke, Jr. graduated high school from Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia then received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Mr. Pyke received his Doctor of Law degree from The Emory University School of Law, where he was active in a number of legal and campus activities. While at law school, Mr. Pyke gained practical experience in a variety of legal disciplines with the law firms of Gambrell, Clarke, Anderson & Stolz in Atlanta and Kinney, Kemp, Pickell, Sponcler & Joiner in Dalton, Georgia. He also has experience with the legal departments of various state and federal governmental agencies, ranging from the Georgia Secretary of State to the United States Bankruptcy Court, Federal Home Loan Bank and the Federal Trade Commission.

Before Mr. Pyke founded Pyke & Associates, P.C., he spent five years as an associate at the Atlanta law firm of Gambrell & Stolz, where his practice areas included estate and tax planning, general corporate law and commercial real estate.

Mr. Pyke is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, Georgia Bar Association (Fiduciary Law, Taxation and Real Property Law Sections), American Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association. He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He is admitted before the Superior Courts, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of the State of Georgia, United States District Court and United States Court of Appeals. In 2002 Mr. Pyke was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys: He is also a co-author of the book, A Wills Not Enough In Georgia.

Mr. Pyke also holds the following securities registrations and insurance licenses: Series 6; 7; 63; 65; 66; Life, Health, Accident and Sickness; Variable Life and Variable Annuity. He is also a REGISTERED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT (RFC)

Mr. Pyke, who is married and the father of two, devotes much of his free time to serving the community. He is on the advisory board of directors of the Southwest Christian & Hospice, Inc., Christian City, Inc., and Emmanuel School of Religion. Mr. Pyke grew up in Southwest Christian Church and now attends McDonough Christian Church. When he can find the time, Mr. Pyke enjoys horseback riding, quail hunting, and skeet and trap shooting.
