In addition, Mr. Williams has also been trained in the collaborative law approach to divorce resolution. My law firm represents clients in Kane County, DeKalb County, DuPage County, and Kendall County. For nearly a decade, I have focused entirely on divorce, paternity (parentage), establishment and modification of support, parental rights, enforcement of divorce decrees, and other family law-related matters. Tricia D. Goostree knew she wanted to be an attorney since she was a little girl. She was selected for Eastern Illinois University's mock trial in college. This experience made her realize how much she enjoyed litigation and courtroom work. She was accepted into John Marshall Law School with a Dean's Scholarship, and added excellent writing skills to her love of working in the courtroom, winning the Dean Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition. Tricia was awarded a Moot Court Executive Board scholarship and went on to compete in regional and interstate competitions during her law school career. While in law school, Tricia worked as an intern for the Illinois Attorney General's Office in the consumer fraud division and as a Supreme Court Rule 711 clerk for the Chicago Legal Clinic. While at the Chicago Legal Clinic, Tricia began assisting clients with family law cases, including divorces and Orders of Protection, as well as child support enforcement. This allowed her an opportunity to appreciate the needs of her clients and to appear in the Cook County Domestic Relations division regularly. After two years of practice primarily in Cook County, Tricia began practicing in Kane, DuPage, Kendall and DeKalb counties and has built an excellent reputation with judges and opposing attorneys. Since 2002, Tricia's practice has been solely concentrated in family law and domestic relations, including but not limited to complex financial cases, issues of maintenance, contested custody litigation, and appeals. For nearly 15 years, Tricia's goal has been to represent her clients zealously with integrity and compassion, whether during tough settlement negotiations or litigation. Tricia loves being in the courtroom and excels when presented with difficult legal problems or challenging opponents. As a small town girl who moved to Chicago to pursue her drive of being a lawyer, Tricia has the ability to relate to folks from all walks of life, regardless of what their legal or family issues may be. To schedule a free consultation with Tricia, visit her website, or call 630-584-4800.
