About Christie
Christie Wilson is a graduate of Tufts University, Medford, MA, and Syracuse University College of Law, Syracuse, NY. She began her legal career in 1982 as an attorney for the Peninsula Legal Aid Center, where she established and managed the reduced-fee Private Bar Involvement Program. While there, she rose to Managing Attorney and served as Interim Executive Director.
Ms. Wilson has been in private practice in Newport News since 1990. She excels in all aspects of family law cases, including military divorces.
She is a member of the York County Bar Association and the Virginia Women's Attorney Association. She has been a Director of the Newport News Bar Association, the Virginia Young Lawyers Conference, the Peninsula Legal Aid Center, and the Virginia Poverty Law Center.
In 1989, the American Bar Association honored Ms. Wilson with national recognition for a seminar she organized for attorneys representing abused and neglected children. In 1991, the Governor of Virginia appointed her to the State Advisory Council to the National Legal Services Corporation.
Ms. Wilson has served as a Director of the Seton Manor Adult Home in Hampton and was a member of the Junior League of Hampton Roads, the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau. She is married to and practices with Paul H. Wilson. The Wilsons have two college-age children.
