Christine A. Williams practices primarily in the areas of commercial and complex litigation and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Mrs. Williams has briefed and argued numerous appeals and has appeared before both the writ and full panel of the Supreme Court of Virginia. She has represented both individuals and businesses in various areas of commercial and complex litigation, including premises liability, personal injury, breach of contract, antitrust and conspiracy.  Some of Mrs. Williams' representative cases include the defense of a health care provider in a major federal prosecution; a minority shareholder dispute; and a nationwide antitrust class action.

Mrs. Williams has been selected by her peers to be included in Virginia's 2007 "Legal Elite," according to Virginia Business Magazine, in cooperation with the Virginia Bar Association and was the featured attorney in Virginia Business Magazine for the Young Lawyers group in 2006. Mrs. Williams was also named a SuperLawyers Rising Star, an honor reserved for the top 2.5% of lawyers in this Commonwealth.  She is also a member of the prestigious John Marshall Inn of Court.

Mrs. Williams is one of the firm's representatives to the XDL Group, Multidimensional IP Advocates, of which the Firm is a founding member.  The XDL Group, composed of litigators and IP experts around the country, specializes in intellectual property litigation. Personal Background:

Mrs. Williams received her law degree from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law, where she was an active member of the Pro Bono Program.  She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1996 from Virginia Wesleyan College .

Community Involvement:

  • Co-chairman of the board for TrePadges, a charitable foundation dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children in Virginia.
  • Mrs. Williams serves on the Board of Directors of Comfort Zone Camp, the nation's largest nonprofit bereavement camp for children. The camp serves children ages seven to seventeen who have lost a parent, sibling or primary care giver.             
  • Mrs. Williams spent all three years of law school volunteering for North Carolina 's Guardian ad Litem program.
  • She also defended indigent juveniles faced with criminal charges through the University of North Carolina School of Law's Criminal Clinic Program.
  • Prior to enrolling in law school, Mrs. Williams was a hospice volunteer in Virginia Beach .
