Questions & Answers

How did you build a successful practice?

By being honest and straight-forward with clients and opposing counsel.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Someone who takes the time to make sure their questions are answered.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Knowing the players involved is critical to solving the problems in front of you.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

An overview of the legal situation and potential next steps.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

It depends on what type of case it is, but typically if any contracts or policies are involved, we like to see them beforehand. We also need a basic overview of what you are looking for in an attorney and where in the process you are/what steps have already been taken.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

My strategic vision, calm nature, and attention to detail allow me to thrive while handling complex cases that often overlap into multiple practice areas and venues. I also have experience in litigating in appellate courts across the state, including serving as lead counsel in a number of cases that were litigated at the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of being a lawyer is working with the client and being able to build that connection over our time working together.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I enjoy spending time with my family, working in the yard and grilling outside. As a native of Rock Island, Illinois, I enjoy cheering on the Cubs and Bears, as well as my alma mater, the University of Illinois.

Are you involved in your community?

One thing that is very important to me, as well as the rest of the firm is community involvement. Previously, I was the President of the Milwaukee Young Lawyer\'s Association and a member of the Board for six years. I have also sat for a number of years as an alternate on the City of Milwaukee\'s Administrative Review and Appeals Board and was President of a large downtown Condominium Association. Currently, I am a board member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice.
