About Christopher
Mr. Leise is a partner in the Litigation Department, chair of the Professional Liability Practice Group and managing partner of the Cherry Hill, New Jersey office. His practice focuses on complex insurance and commercial litigation, including the representation of licensed insurance agents and brokers in professional liability claims and agency contract disputes.
Mr. Leise has extensive experience litigating complex insurance coverage, bad faith, fire loss, title insurance and ERISA disputes. Mr. Leise works with regional and national brokerage firms defending professional liability claims and handling disputes with insurance companies throughout the mid-Atlantic region. He has published and lectured on the topics of insurance broker professional liability, fire litigation, bad faith and insurance coverage for the American Bar Association, New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Independent Insurance Agents of America. He was a contributing editor of the ABA's Second Edition, Bad Faith and Punitive Damages (1992). Mr. Leise has been certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He was selected in a survey of his peers as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine in 2004, 2005 and 2007. Mr. Leise also was selected in a survey of his peers as a New Jersey "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Mr. Leise has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
Mr. Leise received his B.A. from Clark University in 1974 and his J.D., with honors, from Rutgers University School of Law in 1978. After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable William Bishoff of the New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division. Mr. Leise is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is admitted to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and District of New Jersey and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Leise is a member of the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practice Section.
