About Christopher
Trusts and Estate Planning
"I care about you and your family"
Welcome to my website. I am attorney Christopher A. Poulos. My office is located in West Covina, California, and I have provided legal services to individual and business clients in Los Angeles and surrounding counties since 1993. I focus my practice on:
Estate Planning
Conservatorship & Guardianships
Estate Planning
Estate planning involves management of your property during your life and deciding its disposition after your death. Careful estate planning takes into account your real estate and personal property (including insurance), income, tax laws, family, needs, philosophy, and wishes. I have extensive experience helping people through the estate planning process, and creating the necessary legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives (living wills). No estate is too small for careful planning, nor too big.
Wills - Do you have a will? Many people put off this important task - you may think it's too expensive, too time-consuming, or just too depressing. But it could be crucial to your family. A will can save them time, money, and distress. If you have small children, your will can nominate guardians for them "just in case." And it can give you peace of mind.
Trusts - Trusts can be created for a number of purposes: to protect your assets now, or to provide for a loved one during your life and/or after your death. I can advise you on whether a trust might be appropriate for your needs. I can prepare any type of trust, such as a living trust, insurance trust, or testamentary trust.

Conservatorships & Guardianships
Do you have a loved one who is losing - or has lost - the ability to care for him or herself? I can advise you on the legal avenues available to help in this situation. In a conservatorship, the court appoints a conservator to manage the financial affairs of a person who is deemed incompetent to handle their own affairs. In a guardianship, the court appoints a guardian to make decisions about the personal care of the individual, such as where the person will live and what kind of care they will receive. A person may have a conservator for their finances, but still be able to make their own personal decisions. Call 626-960-9373 for a free initial consultation to discuss your options.
