Since 2012, her practice has focused on insurance coverage, commercial auto accident defense, and personal injury defense. Her cases have included those with high values and high emotions, from disputes between neighbors to claims against Fortune 500 companies. She has represented both policyholders and insurers in coverage disputes. Her personal injury cases have included claims for bodily injury, discrimination in public accommodations, false arrest, wrongful death, and workplace injuries.
After growing up in rural Oregon, CJ earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Portland State University, graduating magna cum laude. She graduated first in her class at Pepperdine University School of Law with an additional Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution. She participated in four semesters of trial team competition and served as a staff member on the Pepperdine Law Review and a teaching fellow for torts. After law school she clerked for the Hon. Karin Immergut on the Multnomah County Circuit Court.
CJ is a member of the Owen M. Panner Inns of Court. She is on the board of The Family Room Oregon, a charity supporting reunification of families with children in foster care.
Outside of the office, CJ works on improving her yoga form and designs modern quilts.
