About Claire
Claire M. Marchand has been a practicing attorney since 1994 (Massachusetts) and 1995 (New Hampshire). She has been a solo practitioner since 2000. Her office is in Groveland Center, a quiet suburb of Haverhill. Prior to receiving her law degree, Attorney Marchand was a paralegal for over 15 years. Attorney Marchand has a general law practice with experience in various fields, including family law (divorce, modification, contempt, support, relocation, grandparent visitation), prenuptial agreements, real estate transactions, landlord/tenant issues, drafting wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, guardianships, probating of estates and estate administration. Attorney Marchand is trained in Collaborative Law which is a new and emerging framework used for negotiating formal legal agreements in divorces. In both her family law cases and estate planning/elder law matters, she represents the interests and points of view of her client while making it possible for family members to preserve and protect valued connections with one another and understand their legal choices. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Massachusetts and is a Notary Public. Her dedication to quality, understanding of the law, trust, and respect, are the foundation for long-standing relationships with clients and the community.
