Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I have obtained custody of small children for fathers on numerous occasions when the mother has acted inappropriately or has attempted to brain-wash the child, flee with the child. I have negotiated dozens of difficult cases for fair settlements that have saved my clients thousands of dollars and months of time waiting for the court to act.
How did you build a successful practice?
I believe you build a successful practice by being responsive to your clients' requests, giving them honest and straightforward answers and by remembering that you advocate their position, not your own
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
A client should look for a lawyer who has experience, will talk to them on their level, and will not be intimidated by the opposing party or their attorney
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge is very important because of the differences in the laws and procedure from court to court
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I can provide a brief analysis of a persons' case at no charge
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
For a free phone consultation I would need a brief description of the issue and what each party's position is
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
What differentiates me from other attorneys is my experience and relationship with the judges and other attorneys. For over 35 years I have seen lawyers and judges come and go. Many judges were lawyers I worked with before they became judges. They know me and I know them. I know what they like and what the don't like. I can read their faces in court.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my occupation is to obtain a fair result for people who look to me for help
What are your other interests in addition to law?
My interests outside of my practice include hiking and golfing
Are you involved in your community?
I am very involved in my community in organizing and participating in neighborhood service projects, assisting elderly and widows with clean up and providing in-home food delivery, helping with scouts and youth-leadership programs. I have also organized food and clothing relief for homeless, battered women and shelter charities
