About Coleman

While many clients may have common problems and concerns, Mr. Klein’s long experience has taught him that their apparent similarities often mask their uniqueness which requires advice and solutions tailored to their individual circumstances. He thus does not offer “cookie cutter” approaches, whether in his advice or in his preparation of legal documents, and challenges his clients to innovate for their greatest benefit.

Mr. Klein is eminently qualified to assist clients with tax and business-related issues. Active as a CPA before joining the United States Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent, he retains his CPA licensure while devoting his practice to tax, estate planning, corporate, business, probate, appellate and transactional law. Mr. Klein has been continuously engaged in these practice areas since graduating magna cum laude from Wayne State University Law School.

Mr. Klein is extremely knowledgeable about federal and Michigan income and estate tax matters affecting individuals, businesses, estates and trusts. He provides estate planning advice and prepares wills and trusts tailored to the particular needs and concerns of his clients and their families. He has extensive experience in the selection, formation, administration and dissolution of all forms of business entities.

Mr. Klein represents clients in federal and Michigan income tax examinations of individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trusts and estates, as well as in estate and sales tax examinations, at the agent level through all levels of appeal, including administrative and court appeals. He prepares private letter ruling requests to and represents clients before the national office of the Internal Revenue Service in their submission. He also prepares estate tax returns, as well as fiduciary income tax returns for trusts and estates.

In addition to his extensive tax law and business law experience, Mr. Klein is an experienced and knowledgeable probate attorney, providing probate advice to his clients and, when necessary, representing them in probate courts.
