About Colin

Colin P. O’Dawe is an associate at Kalfus & Nachman, where he is known for being very personable with clients and helping them feel comfortable. He believes in treating the attorney-client relationship like a partnership and strives to take the intimidation factor out of the legal process. Prior to joining Kalfus & Nachman, he practiced for five years as a criminal defense attorney where he gained experience through dozens of jury trials and hundreds of bench trials. Since 2012, Mr. O’Dawe has focused his practice entirely on personal injury litigation, where he has successfully litigated numerous jury trials throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of North Carolina.

Mr. O’Dawe grew up in a military family, moving throughout the U.S. and Europe. He attended Virginia Tech, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003, before earning his Juris Doctor from George Mason School of Law in 2006. He was a full member of George Mason’s Law Review, worked as a law clerk at a personal injury firm, and interned at the U.S. Department of Justice. He believes in giving back to the community, previously volunteering as a governor-appointed member of the Virginia Board of Corrections and as a mentor to children of imprisoned parents at Seton Youth Shelters. He currently lives in Virginia Beach with his wife and two sons.
