Mr. West formed West & Associates in February 2004. Mr. West is the managing patent attorney at West & Associates. Mr. West is responsible for coordinating prosecution, transactional and litigation matters. In addition to counseling clients in matters related to the litigation and licensing of intellectual property rights, Mr. West’s practice also includes counseling clients in obtaining, protecting and enforcing rights associated with patents, trademarks, service marks, trade names, trade secrets and copyrights before the Federal Courts, in State Courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Mr. West has extensive experience in obtaining, protecting and enforcing rights associated with patents, trademarks, service marks, trade names, trade secrets and copyrights. The technical fields of Mr. West’s practice include flash memories, programmable logic devices, architecture and fabrication of semiconductor devices, disk and tape drive mechanics and electronics, holographic optical elements, optical networking, optical data storage and transmission, voice and data telecommunications and other technologies related to mechanical, electrical, civil and/or structural engineering.
