About Corrine
Cori Bylund was born "Corrine Anne Bathke" in Green Bay, Wisconsin and was raised on the rural bayshore. After serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, Cori's father settled in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, where he met a local girl, Cori's mother, who is still the love of his life. As the oldest of three children, Cori developed a deep appreciation for family, friendship and hardwork at an early age.
Cori entered the workforce as a dishwasher in a local restaurant at the age of 14 and maintained part-time employment throughout her high school years. After graduating with honors from Southern Door High School in 1994, Cori attended the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. Cori worked full-time to support herself during college and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and a minor in Political Science.
After she graduated from college and in contemplation of attending lawschool, Cori accepted a position as a paralegal with the lawfirm of Recka & Joannes, S.C. in Green Bay. Through her work as a paralegal in bankruptcy and family law cases, Cori developed interpersonal skills which help her make people understand what is happening in their legal cases and how it may ultimately affect their lives.
After four years with Recka & Joannes, Cori accepted a scholarship to attend Florida Coastal School of Law (FCSL) in Jacksonville, Florida. While attending FCSL, Cori was elected to the Student Board of Directors of the Center for Strategic Governance and International Initiatives (n/k/a Center for Law and Public Policy). She was instrumental in presenting the Center's Environmental Summit in 2003 and International Summit in 2004. Cori was privileged to spend quality time with distinguished statesmen and foreign dignitaries through her work with the Center. During her education at FCSL, Cori accepted a position as a Law Clerk at the firm of Zisser, Robison, Brown, Nowlis & Maciejewski, P.A., where she had the opportunity to work very closely with the partners of the firm in family law, personal injury and appellate matters.
When Cori graduated from lawschool and passed the bar exam in 2005 she accepted a position as an Associate Attorney with the firm, where she practices in the areas of appellate and family law.
Cori is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Jacksonville Women Lawyer's Association and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
Cori resides in Jacksonville with her husband and enjoys the beach, professional sports and traveling to visit family and friends.
