Mitnick is known for his unfettered and vigorous representation of his clients. His portfolio of clients includes over 1000 retired NFL players who have claims against the NFL for concussion related injuries. Mitnick was involved in the groundbreaking litigation from the onset against the NFL.
His innovative approach to litigation and negotiated settlements in addition to his track record of successful verdicts has gained him national recognition as a leader in the profession.
After earning his B.B.A. in finance from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Mitnick received his Juris Doctor from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Mitnick began his career as an Assistant County Prosecutor in two separate counties in the state of New Jersey. During that time, he also acted as a certified instructor of law and procedure at two countywide police academies.
Upon transitioning over to the private practice of law, Mitnick founded Mitnick Law Office. From 2003-2007 Mitnick was a contracted on-air legal analyst for Fox News Channel, Fox News Radio, and CBS.

• NOTABLE LEGAL CASES: Players vs. National Football League: The NFL Concussion claims seek medical monitoring, compensation, and financial recovery for the short-term, long-term, and chronic injuries, financial losses and expenses suffered by former NFL players and their spouses as a result of the NFL’s misconduct. This matter is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. State of New Jersey Verses James Harney, Et Al. Superior Court of New Jersey The New Jersey State Attorney General charged Trooper Harney and several NHL players in a multiple count gambling indictment. Charges included that Harney and several other professional NHL players operated a multi-state gambling operation. The matter was resolved prior to trial and defendant received a favorable result. State of New Jersey Verses Alonzo Johnson Superior Court of New Jersey Defendant was a second round draft pick for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was indicted for first-degree sexual assault. Johnson was found not guilty of all charges after a jury trial. United States of America Versus Dennis Virelli, Et Al U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania Defendant was indicted and tried on a multiple count RICO indictment. Defendant was charged with numerous homicides, racketeering and various underlying conspiracy charges. Defendant was tried along with four other co-defendants. Defendant was acquitted of all underlying RICO charges. State of New Jersey Versus Fred Neulander Superior Court of New Jersey Defendant was charged with murder for hire at behalf of co-defendants. State of New Jersey Verses James Harney, Et Al. Superior Court of New Jersey Defendant, James Harney was charged in a multiple count indictment by the New Jersey State Attorney General. Charges included a conspiracy alleging that defendant and several other professional NHL players operated a multi-state gambling operation. Defendant was incarcerated for several months and released. State of New Jersey Verses Alonzo Johnson Superior Court of New Jersey Defendant was a second round draft choice for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was charged and indicted on first-degree sexual assault allegations. After a jury trial, defendant was acquitted of all charges. United States of America Versus Phillip Casale U.S. District Court of New Jersey Defendant was charged with numerous murders for hire and was alleged to be a high level hit man for the North Jersey faction of the mob. Defendant was indicted in both federal and state court. The case was disposed of prior to trial with a favorable result to defendant. State of New Jersey Verses Kenneth Smith Superior Court of New Jersey Defendant was charged with Capital murder in the brutal slaying of a New Jersey caretaker. Defendant was alleged to have murdered a residential caretaker with a large kitchen knife. Defendant pled guilty to one count of reckless manslaughter and was spared the death penalty.
