About Craig
Craig F. Turet joined Spector Gadon & Rosen as a Member in 2004, having been affiliated with Duane Morris LLP for more than 16 years as an associate and partner. As a member of the Commercial Litigation, Real Estate Litigation and Products Liability Litigation practice areas, Mr. Turet handles a broad range of business-related litigation, including business torts, financial institution litigation, real estate litigation and complex contractual disputes. In addition, for many years Mr. Turet served as national counsel to several manufacturers in connection with products liability litigation pending against them nationally, including the development and implementation of discovery, settlement and trial strategies. Currently, he handles the defense of individual product liability actions, including those involving asbestos-containing products.
Mr. Turet has been awarded an AV rating for his professionalism and the quality of his legal work from Martindale-Hubbell, based upon peer review input.
Illustrative examples of Mr. Turet's experience include the following:
- Defense of substantial commercial loan default action against group of related entities, including prosecution of lender liability counterclaim.
- Successful litigation/arbitration of claim on behalf of Texas-based firm for over $1 million in brokerage fees against large multinational insurer.
- Defense of group of businesses and individuals against claims of alleged fraudulent transfer and breach of fiduciary duty, and attempts to pierce the corporate veil.
- Successful litigation concerning coverage under D&O and Corporate Liability policy.
- Defense of personal injury/wrongful death claims asserted by 50 college professors and other employees against building products manufacturer, and prosecution of related third-party claim against chemical manufacturer.
- Representation of investors in NASD securities arbitration and federal court action against brokerage firm and commodities trading firm and affiliates.
Mr. Turet graduated in 1988 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as an editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Colgate University in 1985, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was recipient of the Pi Sigma Alpha Award for distinction in political science.
Mr. Turet is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association Business Litigation and Legislative Liaison Committees, and is a former elected member of the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers' Section. He also is a member of the American Bar Association Committee on Business and Corporate Litigation (Business Torts Subcommittee) and a member of the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Turet has been certified as an arbitrator by the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc. (BBB), and regularly serves as an arbitrator with respect to private commercial disputes brought to the BBB.
