Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
For the past 33 years I have handled over 3000 injury cases, representing victims of motor vehicle accidents all over Ohio. I have tried over 50 jury trial cases and received successful settlement as high as 3.3 million. I have been a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum since 2002.
How did you build a successful practice?
I spent most of my career personally handling my client's claims and gaining the respect of the defense bar. It allows me to settle claims quicker and for more money because I have been doing it so long.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Client's should get to know their lawyer personally before deciding on who to hire. It is likely that the case could drag on for months or years and the client will need to know that they can trust the person they intend to hire.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Delaware County Ohio is a small community and it is extremely political. It is important that any lawyer practicing in Delaware understand how this community works.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I personally promise to return all of my client calls within 24 hours. These will not be made by my assistant or paralegal. You will talk directly with me.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
A successful settlement and a happy client who will then refer me to their friends or family members.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
My family and I raise and show quarter horses.

I am a former Township Trustee in Liberty Township Ohio, representing more than 33,000 people. I am currently on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio State University in Marion, Ohio.
