David Lambert is a trial attorney who primarily handles civil trials and appeals. His practice emphasizes representation of those injured by medical negligence, auto negligence, defective products, dangerous premises and other negligence cases.
David Lambert graduated with the highest honors from Utah State University in 1976 and graduated with honors from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1979. He has achieved the highest rating (A-V) from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association from 1989 to present and served as the president of that organization during 1999-2000. He is a sustaining member of the America Trial Lawyers Association.
David Lambert is admitted to practice in all courts in Utah and in the federal trial and appellate courts for Utah. He has handled cases from Logan in the north to Kanab in the south and in Jackson, Wyoming. In his early years of practice he gained trial experience as a prosecuting attorney for both Orem City and Utah County. He still acts as special trial counsel for municipalities in Utah County.
David Lambert has practiced with Howard, Lewis & Petersen for more then twenty years and is a managing attorney for the firm. He has been involved in many complex civil cases, including construction site disasters, mining equipment failure, propane explosions, medical malpractice, auto collisions, defective machines, and pharmaceuticals. He has also been involved in a wide variety of other civil trials including construction, real property, and contract disputes.
David Lambert feels it is important to give service to the bar and to the community. For twelve years he has served as a bar examiner on the subject of ethics and is the chairman of the Ethics Committee for bar examinations. He was appointed by the governor to serve on the nominating commission which recommends judges for the courts in Utah, Wasatch, Juab, and Millard Counties. He has made presentations at many continuing legal education programs. He has served on community boards and has served for many years as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America.
