Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
One of my most meaningful cases involved a young parent who needed to modify a custody order to maintain stability for their child after a major life change. Through careful preparation and compassionate advocacy, I helped secure an agreement that prioritized the child’s well-being while preserving a strong co-parenting relationship. Seeing that family reach a workable and peaceful resolution reminded me why I chose family law.
How did you build a successful practice?
My practice is built on genuine connection and trust. I take the time to listen carefully, explain every step clearly, and make sure clients feel supported throughout the legal process. Working within a respected and team-oriented firm like Cullen Family Law Group has also allowed me to combine strong legal resources with a personalized approach to each case.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for a lawyer who is both skilled and approachable. Someone who not only understands the law but also listens and communicates openly. Family law is deeply personal, so empathy, honesty, and attention to detail are just as important as legal experience.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge is extremely valuable. Every courthouse and judicial officer handles family law matters a bit differently, and understanding local procedures, expectations, and resources helps me guide clients more effectively. Being based in Temecula and practicing throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties gives me firsthand familiarity with the courts and community dynamics in these regions.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Our consultations help potential clients understand their options and what the legal process might entail in their specific situation. We discuss general procedures, timelines, and how the firm can help. There is a $50 consultation fee, which is fully credited to the client’s account if they choose to retain our services.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
Before the consultation, I ask clients to share a brief summary of their current situation, such as whether a case has been filed, any upcoming court dates, and what they hope to achieve. Basic details about children, finances, and prior court orders are also helpful. Please note that our consultations are not free; there is a $50 consultation fee, which is credited to your account if you retain our services.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I approach each case with a balance of compassion and strategy. As a member of the Pala Band of Mission Indians, I bring cultural insight and a strong sense of fairness to every case. I also work closely with my clients to ensure they feel heard and informed, so we can make decisions that serve their long-term goals—not just short-term relief.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding part of my work is helping clients regain a sense of peace and direction during a difficult time. Whether through settlement, mediation, or court orders, knowing that I’ve helped a parent or family find stability is the most meaningful outcome I can achieve.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy spending time with family, attending local community events, and exploring Southern California’s cultural and historical sites. I also have a strong interest in mentorship and supporting programs that encourage young people to pursue education and leadership within their communities.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes. I stay involved through local outreach programs and community education efforts that focus on family stability and legal access. I also participate in regional professional associations that support both cultural awareness and equitable representation in the legal system.
