About Daniel

California native Daniel L. Sullivan, Jr. was born in San Francisco, California in January 1957. Raised in Sonoma, CA, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and his Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in Sacramento, CA in 1986. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 1986, and is admitted to the Federal District Courts in the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern District of California.

Mr. Sullivan has extensive jury trial and litigation experience, and has tried both civil and criminal cases, including medical malpractice, wrongful death and product liability matters. Prior to joining Rogaski, Preovolos, Weber and Patterson, LLP. in 2007, he was a sole practitioner in Napa, California. He was previously associated with the law firm of Larson and Burnham in Oakland, California from 1992 to 1993. Prior to that association, he was a partner with the law firm of Borton, Petrini and Conron in Bakersfield, California, working with that firm from 1986 until 1992.

He was a law clerk to Department of the Interior Administrative Law Judge E. Kendall Clark in 1984 and 1985, where he prepared administrative rulings and opinions on diverse subjects such as Mining Law, Interstate Transportation of Restricted Materials, and Alaskan Native Land Claims.

Mr. Sullivan has considerable Court of Appeals experience, and has briefed a number of cases, primarily in the 5th District Court of Appeals, primarily as respondent. Issues on appeal have included Juror Misconduct, Assumption of Risk, and Labor Code Requirements for Express Indemnity Agreements.

In addition to having worked hundreds of automobile casualty cases, Mr. Sullivan has also handled primary case areas of Construction Defects and Construction Site Injuries, Environmental Law, Medical Malpractice, Real Estate Broker and Agents Negligence, Land Fraud, Product Liability, Design Professional Errors and Omissions, Wrongful Death, Pesticide Contamination, Nuisance and Insurance Coverage.
