Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Successfully represented a trust beneficiary in a case where a trustee was accused of financially exploiting an elderly person and breaching her fiduciary duty. The case also involved issues relating to undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity and a challenge to a will and trust. The case involved evidence and witnesses in both Florida and Ohio.

How did you build a successful practice?

I started practicing with a focus on helping people and doing pro bono work with the legal aid society. Over time, a positive network developed and I am recognized for my work ethic, integrity and professionalism.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for a lawyer who has a commitment to client services, including responsiveness and open communication. It is important for clients to be informed about their case and have access to their lawyers.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is critical to the success of my cases because of the unique characteristics of the various venues where I handle Ohio and Florida probate, estate, and trust cases.

I can provide a basic case assessment and provide the caller with various options available to meet their legal goals.

The purpose of the free phone consultation is to learn about the caller's specific situation and to discuss the variety of legal routes available to achieve the client's goals.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I have many years of experience handling very complicated probate estate cases in Ohio and Florida and have been involved in some of the largest inheritance disputes.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping people access the judicial system to accomplish their goals in probate cases.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I am a musician and play the trumpet and the piano.

I am a Rotary Club member and belong to the Lawyers Guild for the Diocese.
