About Daniel

Daniel Marvin's practice focuses on the prosecution of complex civil recovery actions on behalf of insurance companies against individuals and entities for violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), state regulatory violations, and common law fraud.  His practice includes the litigation of insurance based fraud actions relating to illegal corporate formation, finance and operations, and related litigation and coverage issues. 

 Prior to joining Stern and Montana LLP, Mr. Marvin worked as an associate in the New York office of Seward & Kissel LLP, where his focus was in commercial litigation, including securities, employment, and contract matters.  Mr. Marvin also served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office from 2000-2004, where he gained significant courtroom experience prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony cases in the Office's Criminal Court, Grand Jury, and Trial Division Bureaus.    

 Mr. Marvin is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law where he was a member of the Dean's List, Senior Staff Member of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal, and elected President of the Student Bar Association.  While in law school, Mr. Marvin interned in the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General, as well as in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.  He is admitted to practice in the courts of New York and New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and is also an active member of the New York State Bar Association.
