About Daphne
Brick Law Firm was founded by Daphne Duplessis Saddler, a passionate trial lawyer committed to helping injured people obtain justice and fair compensation. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Daphne is of Haitian descent, with parents who immigrated to the U.S. in the 1970s. She brings her values of hard work, resilience, and dedication into every case she handles, treating each client with the personal care and attention they deserve.
Daphne’s academic journey began at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she earned her degree in Political Science with a focus on International Studies and West African History. She was actively involved in leadership roles with Student Government, and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She studied sustainable development during a study abroad program in Senegal, Africa, which deepened her commitment to serving people from diverse backgrounds. Daphne later attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she continued to serve in leadership roles with Law Student Council, Corporate and Securities Moot Court Team, and the Journal of International Law and Public Policy.
After law school, she gained significant trial experience as a public defender in Lake City, Florida, representing clients in high-stakes felony cases. She then transitioned to civil defense, representing insurance companies and corporations in cases involving car accidents, construction defects, and premises liability. However, Daphne realized her passion lies in helping injured people, which led her to work at Morgan & Morgan then later John Foy & Associates, where she successfully fought for plaintiffs’ rights to recover compensation for their injuries. Inspired by her success, she founded Brick Law Firm, where her primary focus is on personal injury cases, allowing her to offer the personalized attention her clients deserve.
Daphne’s commitment to community involvement is reflected in her role as a board member of the McKleskey YMCA in Marietta. In her personal life, she enjoys running 5Ks, attending comedy shows, and visiting art exhibits. As a lover of music, she enjoys a range of genres, from pop and classical to kompas, a genre rooted in her Haitian culture. Daphne also delights in participating in Caribbean Carnivals and cultural festivals, believing in savoring life’s joys while fighting for justice.
She lives in Georgia with her husband and three children, with whom she enjoys outdoor activities like traveling, hiking, biking, and skating.
