Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Case #1: Represented Wife in a divorce. Able to negotiate a very favorable settlement agreement such that the Wife received both child support and alimony (spousal maintenance). Case #2: Represented Father in a divorce. The couple separated before their first child was born. The Mother refused to put the Father on the birth certificate and refused to allow the Father to see the new-born baby. I was able to petition the Court, to allow the Father immediate access to the baby and also get the Mother to place the Father's name on the birth certificate. The Father now has regular visitation times with the now 1 year old baby. Case #3: Represented Grandparents who were looking to have visitation with their grandson. There ex-daughter-in-law was not allowing them any visits with their 4 year old grandson. I was able to defeat a Motion to Dismiss and the Grandparents were able to get monthly visits with their grandson.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Answer: Very important, I have appeared countless times in Suffolk & Nassau courts and know the Judges and their law clerks very well.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Answer: I explain the process in plain English. I answer all phone calls and emails within one business day, and typically in the same day. My rates are very reasonable. I understand that each case is different and unique and handle each case accordingly. Some clients want an easy/amicable divorce, others want to litigate every issue. I represent each client accordingly.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Answer: I manage and play on a softball team. I also like to hike and ski.

Are you involved in your community?

Answer: Very much so. I am a Trustee on the local Board of Education. Before that, I was a director on the local Chamber of Commerce. I attend many local events and contribute to many charities.
