DAVID A. BALL is a principal in Cohen and Wolf, P.C.'s Litigation, Municipal, Securities, and Telecommunications & Utilities Groups. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport office, Mr. Ball practices in state and federal court handling complex commercial litigation cases; shareholder and partnership disputes; business tort claims; securities fraud actions; and administrative appeals. Mr. Ball also litigates before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and has extensive experience handling arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association. He frequently serves as local counsel on complex litigation matters.

Mr. Ball appears before state agencies including the Connecticut Siting Council, where he served as lead counsel representing numerous Connecticut municipalities in connection with Connecticut Light & Power's controversial applications to construct high-powered transmission lines throughout the State of Connecticut. Mr. Ball also appears before the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control on energy-related matters.

Mr. Ball is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He is a member of the Greater Bridgeport, Connecticut and American Bar Associations and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. He is a founding member of the Business Law Section of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association. Mr. Ball is a continuing contributor to the American Bar Association's Quarterly Analysis of State Securities Developments.

Active in the community, Mr. Ball serves on the regional board and executive committee of the Anti-Defamation League, and serves as vice-chair of the Connecticut Civil Rights Committee. In 2007, Mr. Ball received ADL's prestigious Daniel R. Ginsberg Leadership Award at the ADL national leadership conference in Washington D.C. Mr. Ball is also active with the Jewish Center for Community Services of Eastern Fairfield County, previously serving on its Board of Directors and chairing the Community Relations Commission and the Allocations Committee. Mr. Ball has moderated several debates among political candidates prior to local, state and federal elections.

He received his B.A., cum laude, in 1988 from Brandeis University and his J.D. in 1991 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School..
