About David
David C. Sheldon is a Medina injury lawyer who continues to focus his practice on personal injury and criminal law for more than 24 years. He grew up in Medina, Ohio and is well known in the community. His father also practiced personal injury law in Medina and Cleveland in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Mr. Sheldon watched his father’s success in the courtroom and decided to attend Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He clerked for the personal injury firm of Stuart I. Garson & Associates during law school. Ever since, he has been a Medina injury attorney devoted to upholding the rights of the citizenry and helping the seriously injured obtain fair and just compensation from juries of their peers.
He began his criminal work when he served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Cuyahoga and Medina County Prosecutor's Offices from 1988 to 2000. In 2000, he left the prosecutor’s office and began doing criminal defense work in addition to his personal injury practice. He won acquittals and dismissals of individuals accused of rape, witness intimidation, aggravated burglary, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, OVI, and felonious assault. He has argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the Ohio Supreme Court, and several appellate courts. This experience taught this Medina and Strongsville criminal defense attorney how to build strong cases. As a result, he has built a successful practice in OVI, criminal defense, and personal injury, probably winning more OVI dismissals than any other attorney practicing in Medina today.
