About David

I’ve been practicing accident law for over 20 years and have assisted thousands of injured workers throughout Florida with their workers’ compensation claims. I have also enjoyed considerable success with auto accident, Social Security Disability, and dog bite claims. My ability to handle auto accident claims and Social Security Disability claims is particularly helpful to those who have been injured in a car accident while on-the-job, and those who will likely never return to work due to an on-the-job disability.

I’m most proud of the fact that I give my clients personal service: You can count on working with me on a first name basis as we prosecute your claims. Check around and I’m sure you’ll find this is not the case with the large TV, radio, and billboard advertising law firms.

I’m a member of both the the Workers’ Compensation and Trial Lawyers sections of The Florida Bar. I’m a graduate of the College of Law at the University of Florida. I’m “AV’ rated (which is the highest possible rating) by Martindale-Hubbell which means that my peers (lawyers and judges) find me exceptional in both legal ability and personal ethics.

Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

A gentleman came to me because he was injured in a car accident while at work. The workers' compensation insurance company was denying him necessary medical care. He couldn't find a lawyer to help him with his car accident because he was blamed for causing it. I took care of his workers' compensation claims and got him the medical care he needed plus a cash settlement. I was also able to secure a very strong settlement for him in the auto case.

How did you build a successful practice?

In an age of huge law firms with big advertising budgets, my practice has grown and thrived based solely on word of mouth from satisfied clients and referrals from other attorneys who respect my work. Unlike the lawyers at the big advertising law firms, I personally represent every one of my clients. My clients have my personal email address and cell phone number. The value of personal representation cannot be overemphasized.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Look for a lawyer with significant experience handling issues like yours. Look for a lawyer in your area who knows the doctors you'll likely treat with. Look for a lawyer who knows the Judges who will preside over your case. Lastly, and most importantly, look for a lawyer who will personally work with you on your case.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Every Judge is different. Knowing your local Judge's standards and expectations is critical. Knowing and having a good relationship with the doctors who will treat you is also critical as the value of your case is largely determined by the medical treatment you receive.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

Answered questions, a thorough analysis of your situation, and competent advice on how to proceed with your claims.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

A description of your accident and injuries, the insurance companies involved, and the names of the doctors who are treating you.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Experience and personal service. Typically, you'll get one or the other. With me, you get both.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Seeing my clients' visible relief as I unpack and resolve their problems.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I am pilot and I fly myself all over the Southeast US for both work and pleasure.
