John Piccin has been practicing law for over 40 years. He is rated AV Preeminent for more than 15 years by Martindale-Hubbell. This is the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards. Born in Willimantic, Connecticut, he moved to Ocala in 1974. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has handled innumerable jury trials resulting in favorable outcomes for his clients. John has litigated a wide variety of personal injury cases, insurance disputes, and wrongful death cases. John is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national organization limited to trial lawyers who have achieved verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more. $52.0 Million Motor Vehicle Collision On February 27, 2017 a Marion County jury returned a verdict in favor of our clients for $52.0 million dollars. A second, bad faith suit will now be filed against the insurance company for the at-fault driver which should have settled our claims when it could have settled. Please click here to view our clients’ vehicle which was stopped at a red light and struck at high speed by a BMW. The mother driver and all 4 minor children were rendered unconscious and 3 of the children suffered catastrophic injuries.
$2.95 Million Medical Malpractice
An Atlanta hospital pays for failing to properly treat an emergency patient with symptoms of pneumonia, resulting in cardio-pulmonary arrest and severe brain damage. The case was settled following mediation.
$2.7 Million Trucking Negligence
An eighteen-wheel tanker runs a red light and T-bones a car, killing it’s 33-year-old driver. The only survivor under the Florida Wrongful Death Act was the decedent’s mother.
