About David
Dave Ross, who is Of Counsel to the Thatcher Law Firm, works primarily in the areas of commercial and employment law. Tireless dedication to solving client problems and an ability to successfully handle complex legal issues have been hallmarks of his career.
Prior to joining us, Mr. Ross spent several years representing businesses in state and federal courts throughout the country. In doing so, he often squared off against some of the nation's most powerful companies and routinely confronted issues related to buy-sell agreements, service contracts, franchise agreements, and employment contracts.
Since coming on board, Mr. Ross has continued to fight for business owners and masterfully handled complex, multi-party litigation involving claims of misappropriation of trade secrets, patent infringement, civil fraud, conspiracy, and other commercial torts. He also has successfully negotiated employee severance agreements, prepared employee handbooks, and represented employers and employees with regard to claims of wrongful discharge, unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, and non-payment of overtime wages.
A 1997 graduate of American University's Washington College of Law, Mr. Ross is licensed in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey. He's a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, Maryland Employment Lawyers Association, American Association of Franchisees and Dealers, Maryland State Bar Association Committee on Franchising, and American Bar Association Forum on Franchising.
