About David

David Iannotti grew up on the East Coast, slowly making his way across the U.S. and ultimately ending up here in the state of Washington. Most of his family still resides in Washington D.C., New York and Boston. David obtained his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a degree in Political Science and Economics. While at Miami University, he worked as an intern for Butler County Superior Court Judge Patricia Oney.

After graduating from Miami University, David moved back to Washington D.C. and worked as a legal assistant for Spriggs & Hollingsworth. During this time, he primarily focused on preparing large product liability cases for trial, working as the lead paralegal on several extensive jury trials. After two years of working in D.C., David decided to go back to school and obtain his law degree.

David moved to Chicago, Illinios to pursue his law degree at the John Marshall Law School where he received a Dean's Scholarship for his academic performance. While he was a student at the John Marshall Law School, David spent three months in Beijing, China studying a comparison of the American and Chinese criminal justice systems. He then went on to publish an article in the International Law Journal titled "International Criminal Law, 2004 Year in Review".

After graduating from Law School in January 2006, David moved to the state of Washington with his wife and passed the Washington State Bar Exam.

David has established his home here in Seattle, Washington where he spends his free time racing road bikes (just like Lance Armstrong), playing Ultimate Frisbee, and most importantly, enjoying time with his family.

After passing the bar, he initially worked as an associate at a small firm focused on Immigration and Criminal Law representing Spanish speaking defendants in their immigration and criminal defense matters. David is the newest and youngest member of Stewart Beall MacNichols and Harmell but has quickly made a home here with his easy going personality and the attention and care he gives his clients. Currently, David is concentrating his practice on criminal defense.

Since joining SBMH, David has been developing a reputation for his willingness to try difficult cases to a jury. His recent jury trial victories include an April 2008 acquittal on an Assault Domestic Violence case and a February 2008 acquittal on a case involving charges of Assault Domestic Violence, Malicious Mischeif Domestic Violence, and Harassment Domestic Violence.
