Senior Partner, David P. Wilson has been with the Provost Umphrey Law Firm as an attorney since 1991. He is certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is licensed to practice before the state courts in Texas and Louisiana as well as the U.S. District courts of the Eastern, Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas, the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Coushatta Tribal Court.
Wilson also has been admitted pro hac vice in state and federal courts throughout the country including Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Alabama, Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee. He focuses on maritime law, railroad law (FELA) and aviation law. Wilson represents injured offshore oil workers, seaman, and railroad workers. He has successfully handled cases involving injuries and death as a result of aircraft and helicopter crashes.

Before becoming a lawyer, he had a successful career as a television journalist.
