David Scott Borger | The Woodlands Estate Lawyer

David Borger was raised in a blue-collar, working-class family in Cleveland, Ohio. His father, a Marine Master Sergeant, instilled in all his boys a sense of accountability, work-ethic and personal responsibility. As the youngest of the four boys, he developed a sense of problem-solving and dispute resolution very early and this experience has served him well over the years.

Upon graduation from Stephen F. Austin State University, David Borger accepted a position as an Associate Consultant at Performance Strategies, Inc., a public policy and management consulting firm in Austin, Texas. His work at the firm, creating and implementing strategic plans for public institutions is the basis for his belief today that planning is essential to achieving any desired outcome. During law school Mr. Borger clerked for Petersen & Petersen in Houston, Texas and the firm offered him a position upon graduation. Under the guidance of a senior partner, who was board certified in Estate Planning and Probate, Mr. Borger honed his skills as both an effective planner and trial attorney, and has been in private practice since 2003.

In addition to his career as a successful attorney, Mr. Borger consults regularly with clients on premarital planning for older couples, pre-divorce planning and is very proud of his work representing single-fathers seeking primary custody of their children.

Whether it be Estate Planning, Pre-marital Planning, Long-Term Care and Incapacity Planning or simply the meticulous planning of preparing a successful trial strategy, David Borger works hard to identify and address issues before they arise, achieving desired outcomes for clients while saving time and resources.
