Mr. Timmis received the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit in 1987. Mr. Timmis served as a law clerk for the Honorable Barry Grant, Probate Court Judge for the County of Oakland. He also served as a law clerk throughout law school at Vandeveer Garzia. Upon his graduation in 1987, he became associated with Vandeveer Garzia where he remains today as a Shareholder and a member of the firm's Management Committee.
Mr. Timmis is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Negligence Law Section. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan and Western District of Michigan. Mr. Timmis has presented successful oral arguments in the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
