Native Tennessean Bryan Stephenson has practiced law since 2004, and serves clients in Nashville and all counties in Middle Tennessee. Bryan’s expertise covers both felony & misdemeanor offenses: DUI, assault, domestic violence, theft, drug charges, probation violations, alcohol-related crimes, and pretty much anything that could land you in jail. Using the insight he gained as an Assistant District Attorney for Davidson County, Bryan helps his clients navigate the criminal justice system. He frequently lectures to other attorneys at legal seminars across Tennessee. Specifically, he has presented on: DUI defense in blood test cases; dealing with bully prosecutors; disqualifying prosecutors and judges due to ethical conflicts; rooting out lies by police officer witnesses; and ethical client management. Bryan is also an adjunct professor for Lipscomb University’s Law, Justice, and Society program, primarily teaching Legal Research & Reasoning. He is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the DUI Defense Lawyers Association. And he is a life member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In 2020 he was selected to serve as a board member and Ethics Committee chairperson for TACDL. Bryan is a current member of Williamson County Bar Association. Bryan is highlighted as one of the Best Criminal Defense Lawyers in Nashville as well as one of the Best DUI Attorneys in Nashville according to Forbes Advisor Legal. Bryan earned his law degree at Pepperdine University School of Law, graduating Order of the Barristers. During law school, he was selected to serve on the Pepperdine Law Review, in which he was also published. Before going to California, Bryan graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Mathematics. He grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Bryan lives in Middle Tennessee with his wife and children, and is an avid Titans fan and a competitive soccer player.
