Jelena Tiemann prides herself on being warm and easy to talk to. Jelena Tiemann has been working in law firms for close to 15 years and has been licensed as an attorney for over 10 years. Ms. Tiemann completed her undergraduate degree in political science at Sacramento State University. Upon graduation, Jelena attended Lincoln Law School in Sacramento. Jelena has been a member of the California State Bar since 2003. Jelena was born and raised in Serbia. She immigrated to America when she was 17. She began her legal career working as a prosecutor for El Dorado County. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Jelena focused her career on representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters, which is now her sole practice area. Her efforts in 2013 alone include a $1.8 million dollar settlement in a wrongful death case, a $1 million dollar settlement in a fractured hip case, an $800,000 settlement in a back injury case and numerous maximum insurance policy limit recoveries on behalf of injured clients. She has helped clients in all types of accident and injury cases, including wrongful death, automobile collisions, slip and falls, and product liability cases.

I started my firm because I wanted to provide my clients with my own brand of excellent legal representation, consistent with my unique human qualities of compassion, strength, caring and integrity. I have represented injured people for over twenty years. While I have very successfully tried and settled many cases over the years, I take nothing for granted. For that reason, I work very hard – harder than most. I do it because I love what I do and I am constantly striving to improve, learn new ways of doing things, better ways of connecting with juries. One of my trial victories involves the largest medical malpractice jury verdict in Sacramento County history. With a former law partner, I recovered $7.6 million on behalf of a young woman rendered T4 paraplegic due to a Medical Center’s failure to diagnose a mass on her spine. For the past three years, I have personally represented hundreds of families and business owners who lost everything due to preventable wildfires in the Sierra Nevada foothills, and in the Napa, Sonoma and Lake County regions of California’s wine country. My team and I have recovered millions of dollars on their behalf, and as we continue to battle wildfires across the state, we are committed to rebuilding California’s beautiful landscape and infrastructure.
