About Dawn
Dawn graduated from St. Pius X High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1986. She went on to obtain her undergraduate degree in Mass Communications and Political Science in 1990 at the University of Denver, Colorado. Moving from the mountains to the ocean, she then attended law school at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, graduating in 1993.
Having so much education under her belt at the ripe age of 24, Dawn elected to spend a few years discovering the world and herself before embarking upon her legal career. During the following six years, she became involved in the film industry in Los Angeles and worked as a boat driver and stunt coordinator for marine productions. Her credits include Apollo 13, Anaconda, Vampire in Brooklyn and Strange Days. She also paid the bills by bartending at Planet Hollywood in Beverly Hills and at California Pizza Kitchen in Marina del Rey. In her free time, Dawn took and passed the California Bar Exam in 1995.
Realizing she had to settle into her legal career at some point, Dawn left California and moved to Las Vegas in 1997. She bartended at the All Star Cafe on the Strip part-time and worked full-time as a law clerk for her previous law firm until she took and passed the Nevada Bar Exam in 1999. At her prior firm, Dawn represented Las Vegas' largest property management company in several landlord-tenant related disputes. Dawn proudly joined CHRISTENSEN LAW OFFICES in November, 2001 and life hasn't been the same since. In, 2000, Dawn took and passed the New Mexico Bar Exam, completing her hat-trick.
Dawn and her husband have their hands full with two beautiful children - one boy and one girl who just happen to be twins! In their ever so treasured spare time, they enjoy spending time traveling near and far with their friends and family. Their journeys have included trips to New Mexico, California, Utah, Washington (State and D.C.), Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Italy, France and Croatia. Dawn also plays soccer, collects vintage baseball cards and enjoys long distance running.
