About Dean

Mr. Waldt focuses his practice on business reorganization, corporate finance, and commercial litigation.  He has represented various companies in bankruptcy matters including banks, institutional lenders, and retail, manufacturing, technological, transportation, and healthcare companies.  Mr. Waldt has handled creditor-rights litigation, including foreclosures and replevin matters, and conducted negotiations in corporate loan restructurings.

Mr. Waldt's practice also entails representing franchisers in franchise recovery and termination matters.  In regards to such matters he has represented the management of a failed franchise recovery program for a large national franchiser.

His litigation experience includes fraudulent conveyance and lender liability litigation, oppressed and/or dissenting shareholder actions, and all aspects of bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Waldt also handles Lanham Act, RICO, and ERISA litigation.

Mr. Waldt has been recognized by The Deal as one of the busiest bankruptcy lawyers in the United States by the number of new matters.

Among his professional activities, Mr. Waldt is a member of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section and Business Bankruptcy Committee; the New Jersey Bar Association, Bankruptcy Law Section and Banking Law Section; the Burlington County Bar Association; the Camden County Bar Association, Debtor/Creditor Section; the New Jersey Supreme Court Fee Arbitration Committee, District IV, past Chair (1999); and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference.

Mr. Waldt frequently speaks about current bankruptcy and litigation matter and has served as Lecturer and Moderator for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) since 1994.

Mr. Waldt is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial and serves as Chairperson of the Finance Committee and a member of its Development Committee for the Battleship. Mr. Waldt serves as a member of the Board of Ethics for the City of Ocean City, New Jersey.
