Ms. Ballantyne is an associate in the Litigation Department.  She concentrates her practice in health law including medical malpractice actions, licensure issues, nursing home negligence and provides advice to health care providers on policies and procedures. Ms. Ballantyne represents health care providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, physicians' assistants, registered nurses and health care support staff in a variety of settings.

Ms. Ballantyne received a B.A. from the University of California at Davis in 1982. Prior to law school she worked in the health care industry as a Corporate Vice President in charge of performance improvement, licensure survey compliance, and developing best practices. Also, she volunteered her time as the Chair of the Long Term Care Consortium of Lower Bucks County. While working as a health care consultant, Ms. Ballantyne conducted lectures for various health care institutions and health care organizations on the connection between documentation and reimbursement under Medicare and Medicaid.  She maintains her Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator's license.

Ms. Ballantyne received her J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law in 2005 where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Widener Law Review and President of the Health Law Society.  Ms. Ballantyne was awarded the Reed Hamilton Memorial Award for excellence in health law.  She also served as the student representative on Widener's Health Law Advisory Board.  She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Ballantyne is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law Institute Advisory Board at Widener University School of Law.
