About Derae
DeRae handles family law cases addressing divorce, child custody, child support, paternity and adoption. She also does estate planning. She particularly enjoys drafting special needs trusts for families with children with disabilities and representing people with disabilities in guardianship proceedings. DeRae has recently added equine law to her practice, including sales, boarding, hauling and training contracts, collections, professional reputation issues and the Utah Equine Liability Act. DeRae volunteers at the Timpanogos Family Law Clinic in Provo and at Courage Reins (a therapeutic horseback riding facility for people with disabilities). DeRae is also interested in helping women develop businesses and she is on the board of the Women in Business Network in Utah County.
When DeRae is not working, she is often with her family’s three horses and their St. Bernard.
