A discrimination case with an Indian Plaintiff I settled last year. He was a nice man and I believe it was a great outcome for him.

How did you build a successful practice?
Recommendations and social media presence and referrals.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Honesty, fairness, ethical conduct and reasonableness.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
In employment law knowing the employer, the job and other things are more important than local knowledge unless it impacts the job. In the entertainment industry knowledge is important.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I don't do free consults because my consultations are usually long due to nature of the areas of practice. I ask lots of questions and need a substantial amount of information to ensure I don't miss anything.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I'm direct. I try to give client realistic view of possible outcomes and advice so the client is well informed. I want a client to make the best decision for themselves having all the knowledge I have on a subject.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Helping people! Seeing justice served. Making a situation better for someone else. Making a difference in my clients life that helps them be better at theirs.

What are your other interests in addition to law?
My charity DLJ Give to Live Community Foundation, church, dining, rollar skating, exercising, movies, plays, vacation with friends, reading.

Are you involved in your community?
Yes I occasionally do public speaking in my immediate community and through my fashion week in Jersey City I am involved in that community. www.jerseycityfashionweek.com I give a portion of my proceeds to charities that meet the mission of my charity.
