Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I sued Wal Mart that turned out to be the largest employment class action in US history. We settled for $85 million and changed the way large corporations across America handled their employees and payments for work performed. I had a huge ripple effect in corporate America. Recently I handled a criminal case in which my client was accused of embezzlement for over $100K. I was able to negotiate a plan for repayment with the corporation and avoided 30 counts of felony theft for my client.
How did you build a successful practice?
I established a successful practice by providing clients with personal representation. Our firm, once we take a case, follow the case through to the end. We do not refer hard cases out to new firms. This gained a reputation for getting things done and succeeding.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
We provide all the information to the client that they need to know including possible jail time and fines. They need to know the severity of the charges and how it may affect their lives. They generally appreciate honesty even when the information is difficult to accept.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Our firm does not concentrate on the cost to the client. We concentrate on providing good representation to our clients. That is why all criminal contracts are flat fee agreements. Some case take substantial legal time and effort and we do not charge additional fees. It is getting a good result for the client at the agreed price that is important.
