DONALD J. CAIRNS is a senior member with the law firm of Lindner & Marsack, S.C.

Mr. Cairns practices in all areas of labor and employment law, with particular emphasis on representing clients before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various state and federal courts. Likewise, he has extensive experience in formulating and implementing successful employer campaigns in response to union organizing efforts and in maintaining business operations during labor strikes, boycotts, and picketing. Mr. Cairns also negotiates collective bargaining agreements and represents employers in contract administration disputes.

Mr. Cairns lectures frequently on federal and state labor and employments laws, collective bargaining and maintaining non-union status. He was formerly a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board and subsequently with the New York Law Firm of Jackson, Lewis, Schnitzler & Krupman at its San Francisco, California office. Mr. Cairns received his B.A. degree from Marquette University in 1967 and his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1970.

Mr. Cairns is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin and is admitted to practice before the courts of Wisconsin, Illinois and several federal courts, including the United States District for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Central District of Illinois and the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth, Seventh and District of Columbia Circuits.
