About Donald
Donald R. Collins is a lifelong resident of Southern Missouri. He graduated from High School in Carl Junction, Missouri and commuted to Pittsburg State University in Southeast Kansas where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications – Public Relations Summa Cum Laude. As a student he was a five time recipient of honors for All-A Scholastic Honors and six time recipient of honors for Dean’s List.
Donald graduated from Oklahoma City University – School of Law in 2007. While a student, Donald received multiple awards for academic and practical success, including: Moot Court, Dean’s List and Faculty Honor Roll for scholastic achievement in the top 10% of his class, the CALI Award, and the publishing of original legal theory in the Oklahoma City University Law Review, A Legal Doctrine for the Starter Marriage, 33 Okla. City L. Rev. 793, (2008).
Upon graduation and passage of the Bar Exam, Donald immediately began practicing criminal defense in Douglas County, Missouri with the Missouri Public Defender’s Office. There, he worked on many types criminal cases from misdemeanor driving offenses to cases where the range of punishment included life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Donald has expanded his field of legal work to include Criminal and DWI, Family and Domestic Law, Estate Planning and Wills, Real Estate Law, and the Uniform Commercial Code. Donald is admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri. Donald is married and resides in Ava, Missouri.
