Tim Coode is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from Texas Christian University, earning his B.A. in History in 1981. He then attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he received his JD/MBA degree in 1986. In 1987, he was admitted to practice law in the state of Tennessee. He has also been admitted in the federal District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. Mr. Coode has been a solo practitioner since 1992, with a practice concentrating on immigration matters and Social Security Disability claims. Since 1992 his immigration practice has covered all aspects of immigration law. Common issues are relative- and employment- based adjustment of status, extension and changes of immigration status, removal defense, asylum claims, and employment based non-immigrant visas. He has successfully represented foreign nationals in immigration related matters in front of the Executive Office of Immigration Review, i.e., the Immigration Court, in Memphis, Tennessee, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Oakdale, Louisiana. He has also successfully represented foreign nationals in immigration related matters in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Coode has been an invited speaker on immigration matters at judicial and legal conferences.
