Domhnall (Donny) Ó’Catháin is a New Jersey trial lawyer. He has helped his clients secure tens of millions of dollars for the injuries and economic losses they have suffered from the negligence of corporations and careless people. Donny litigates personal injury cases in state court and in federal court. So far in 2024, Donny won settlements for clients such as $170,000 for an uber crash; $300,000 for rear end car crash with surgery; $375,000 for trip and fall on stairs; and $875,000 for leg and ankle fractures caused by a negligent forklift driver. In 2017, his clients (a wife and her husband) won the largest dental malpractice jury verdict in New Jersey in a case where the defendant refused to make any offers. In 2019, his client won a $1.2 million dollar jury verdict in a case where the bus company’s final offer was $200,000. During the pandemic, he tried four virtual jury trials. Three of those cases resulted in verdicts for his clients that were more than twice the final offer by the defense. In the fourth case, the defense moved from a never-pay position to a six-figure settlement before closing statements. He has many seven figure settlements in trucking crash cases and medical malpractice cases. Most of those cases settled shortly before trial. Firms throughout the tristate area refer cases to him and other New Jersey plaintiff firms bring him in as trial counsel when a case cannot be settled. Many clients have come to him because he has been recommended by lawyers who have gone against him. Carlye L. Goldstein is a partner at O’Cathain Law Group, LLC, where she practices family law. Carlye handles all areas of family and matrimonial law, from pre-nuptial agreements through divorce and into post-judgment matters. Known for her skilled writing ability, Carlye is primarily responsible within the firm for overseeing appellate briefs and the legal memoranda submitted in heavy-duty motions. While handling her own caseload of divorce cases, Carlye also handles all domestic violence cases within the firm. Domestic violence is one of the few areas of family law that involves regular trial appearances, and she has extensive experience doing that. Before Carlye entered private practice, she spent two years as a staff attorney at Partners for Women & Justice, a 501(c)(3) charity that provides legal advice to the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Carlye’s practice at O’Cathain Law Group, LLC continues to help the victims of domestic violence and people who have been wrongly blamed for domestic violence. The outcome of a domestic violence trial has a significant impact on the parenting time, custody, relocation, and visitation issues that arise in a regular divorce. Her experience in handling the domestic violence part of a divorce has given her clients the reassurance they need to focus on getting the best result for themselves and their families in the overall divorce. Carlye’s commitment to legal advocacy to the underserved began while she was a student at Seton Hall Law School where she was a member of the Courtroom Advocates Project. In addition, she was a member of the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice which submitted an amicus curiae brief to the New Jersey Supreme Court to advocate against the discoverability of immigration status in civil cases. When not discussing work at the office, Carlye will always be available to offer ideas about house remodeling with a family, what treats should be given to dogs, and what whiskey is best left unopened. Donald W. Reeder is Counsel with Harwood Lloyd. For over a generation, his practice has concentrated in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Gift Tax Planning, and Estate and Trust Administration. Mr. Reeder also serves numerous clients as Executor, Trustee and/or Power of Attorney. Mr. Reeder earned his B.A. from Wesleyan University where he graduated cum laude. He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. Mr. Reeder is admitted to practice before the Courts of New Jersey and New York, the District Court of New Jersey and the US Supreme Court.

James P. Logan and his brother, William E. Logan (deceased), were founding partners in 1961 of Logan and Logan, Attorneys at Law, located in Englewood, New Jersey. The firm’s name was changed in 1993 to Logan, Logan and Lindsay when Robyn Lindsay became a partner. The firm merged with Harwood Lloyd, LLP. in 2006 where Mr. Logan is now Of Counsel. Throughout his career Mr. Logan represented several Bergen County municipalities as municipal attorney, planning board attorney, board of adjustment attorney, board of education attorney and sewerage authority attorney. He also was appointed and served as a municipal judge. Practice areas of his law firm included wills, trusts and estates, real estate law, municipal law, litigation and business law. With regard to community service, Mr. Logan was a member and President of the Tenafly Board of Education, a member and Chairman of the Board of the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and President of the Tenafly Presbyterian Church Board of Trustees. Mr. Logan received his B.A. from Trinity College in 1954. Upon graduation he served as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force where he was a navigator in the Material Air Transport Service. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1960. Mr. Logan is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (1960), the United States Court of Claims, (1989) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (1990).

David McBride is Counsel with Harwood Lloyd in its Commercial and Real Estate Department. Mr. McBride received his B.A. from Georgetown University in 1969 and his J.D. from Georgetown University School of Law in 1973. He has experience in real estate transactions, including commercial closings, residential closings, co-operative transfers and lease negotiations. Mr. McBride is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (1973) and the courts of the State of New York (1983).

The undersigned previously served as the County Wide STOP DWI prosecutor supervising all of the DWI cases/dispositions while also handling all other types of criminal matters. Eric M. Mark is the founder of the Law Office of Eric M. Mark based in Newark, NJ. Since 2010, the firm has focused on immigration law throughout the United States, criminal defense in New Jersey, New York and federal courts, and specifically the criminal-immigration intersection. My entire life is marked by resilience, tenacity, service, and leadership. The totality of my personal and professional experiences informs the holistic, compassionate, and relentless work I do on behalf of my clients. In October 2018, I became New Jersey’s first undocumented female attorney, after a lifetime of stress but also support from my family and community. My parents crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in the late 1980’s when I was only one year old, and they brought me with them. I grew up in Mercer and Middlesex Counties (NJ) knowing and understanding I was undocumented, but it did not diminish my relentless commitment to higher education. Since 2005, I continuously and concurrently worked full-time, studied part-time, and publicly advocated for humane immigration reform and policies. In the process, I graduated from Middlesex County College, graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, and then became New Jersey’s first undocumented law school graduate when I graduated from Rutgers School of Law. Through my pubic advocacy, I have addressed hundreds of venues and crowds of various sizes and demographics on immigration topics while organizing and advocating for pro-immigrant federal and state legislation, like the DREAM Act of 2007 and the NJ In-State Tuition Bill of 2013. I also co-founded, the New Jersey Dream Act Coalition, New Jersey’s first statewide, grassroots immigrant-youth led organization. In collaboration with other organizations of young advocates, we successfully moved the state and then-governor Chris Christie to make in-state tuition for certain undocumented students at public colleges a reality. Now, after over a decade of advocating for New Jersey’s immigrant community, I am proud and privileged to represent and advocate for individual members of my community before state, federal, and administrative courts. Since 2005, I continuously and concurrently worked full-time, studied part-time, and publicly advocated for humane immigration reform and policies. I clerked for Eric M. Mark until becoming a licensed attorney. Here, I’ve worked on a wide range of traffic, criminal, immigration, and family matters, including: divorces, final restraining orders, and various affirmative and defensive applications for immigration relief, such as Special Immigrant Juvenile status, U-visas, asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, VAWA-related applications, waivers, etc. I also have accrued experience in appellate work with filings to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. During law school, I gained experience providing direct client representation under the supervision of practicing law school faculty at Harvard Law School and Rutgers Law School. I also gained experience at two impact-litigation civil rights organizations. In the summer of 2015, I served as a Summer Legal Intern at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau (HLAB) of Harvard Law School, the nation’s oldest student-run legal services organization. There, I represented indigent Boston residents facing eviction, many of them Latino immigrants, before the Boston Housing Court, and in wage theft cases before the Suffolk County Superior Court of Massachusetts. I also served as HLAB’s liaison to City Life/ Vida Urbana, one of Boston’s fiercest anti-displacement grassroots, community organizations. I served on the Rutgers Criminal and Youth Justice Clinic where I represented incarcerated youth in New Jersey’s juvenile justice system, as well as indigent young adults charged with minor criminal offenses in the Essex County Remand Court. Through the clinic, I also assisted a female inmate, convicted of a felony as an adult while only a child, secure an early release on parole. While in law school I also interned at Latino Justice PRLDEF in New York, and at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of New Jersey. At Latino Justice PRLDEF, I conducted census research that was ultimately used in an amicus brief for Evanwel v. Abbott. I completed a bilingual workers’ rights pamphlet for workers in New York City. And I researched and wrote memoranda of law on various matters, including but not limited to: international calling rates for prisoners in New Jersey, and professional licensing for undocumented young adults in New Jersey. At the ACLU-NJ, I conducted legal research and legal memoranda on issues like prisoner’s rights litigation, medicaid coverage of Hepatitis C medication, and First Amendment freedom of speech and expression.
