About Edward
Mr. Jaeger is a partner in the Subrogation Department and practices exclusively in the field of insurance subrogation. He received his B.A. in 1986 from Washington and Jefferson College and his J.D. in 1989 from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Jaeger has been practicing exclusively in the area of subrogation for the past 17 years and is a member of the bars of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia, but practices throughout a 25-state territory utilizing the services of local counsel under a special program of the Subrogation Department. Mr. Jaeger has handled numerous complex commercial and residential property losses involving fire, structural collapse, water, mold, transit and maritime claims.
Mr. Jaeger is a frequent speaker at client oriented seminars. Topics have included the production of company files in discovery; recognizing major obstacles to subrogation recovery; effective handling of mold related claims; apportionment of recovery between insureds and insurers; subrogating under a Builder's Risk Policy; waiver of subrogation provisions; AIA contracts; and the discovery of expert testimony.
In addition to litigating and trying cases, Mr. Jaeger has been an author and speaker on insurance subrogation topics for publications and forums focused on this area of law, which have included presentations at the national conventions for the National Association of Subrogation Professionals and the Property Loss Research Bureau. Mr. Jaeger is a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals and an affiliated member of the Property Loss Research Bureau.
